Three main reasons affecting rubber pulley of belt conveyor
During the use of belt conveyor, the degumming of belt conveyor drum will happen occasionally.
Reason 1: Too small of the belt tension to contribute to a adhesive failure.The belt conveyor tensioned by the heavy hammer can be solved by adding the counterweight of the heavy hammer until it does not slip, but too much hammer will reduce the service life of the belt which is needed to be noted. If the belt conveyor with screw tensioning device and hydraulic tensioning device slips, the tensioning force can be increased by adjusting the tensioning stroke, but sometimes the tensioning stroke is insufficient and the belt is permanently deformed. At this time, the belt can be cut off for a section and then revulcanized.
Reason 2: The cleaning device of the belt conveyor fails which will resulting in the degumming of the rubber surface of the rubber wrapping drum.
The belt conveyor cleaner is used to clean the materials adhered on the conveyor belt. If the function of the cleaner fails, the materials adhered on the conveyor belt will enter between the drum and the belt, which contribute to a wear between the material particles and the belt, resulting in degumming of the rubber surface of the drum and reducing the service life of the belt.
Causes affecting the failure of belt conveyor sweeper:
1. After the cleaner is installed and used for a period of time, due to the frequent friction between the alloy head of the cleaner and the adhesive tape surface, there will be a certain degree of wear, resulting in the failure of the cleaner.
2. The blocking phenomenon at the cleaning place will cause the deformation of the cleaner, change the installation angle between the cleaner and the belt, and cause the failure of the cleaner.
Measures to prevent failure of sweeper:
1. Frequently inspect the sweeper and replace the conveyor belt alloy sweeper with serious wear;
2. Clean the deposited materials inside the head funnel in time to prevent blocking. If the installation angle between the cleaner and the tape changes, readjust it. Regularly check the slack at the bottom of the cleaner; Middle idler, replace the severely worn belt and idler.
The third reason is that the wrapping angle is too small or the friction coefficient is too small, which leads to the degumming of the rubber surface of the wrapping roller.
According to the analysis of belt slip, the smaller the wrap angle of the drum and the smaller the friction coefficient, the greater the minimum tension of the deviation point of the conveyor belt and the easier the belt slip. Therefore, the wrapping angle between the drum and the tape should be appropriately increased in the design. In the production process, the mixture of water and materials should be avoided from adhering to the tape as much as possible to reduce the friction coefficient.
